Blow-up Letter by Kouichi Okamato
Blow-up Letter by Kouichi Okamato
I really like the why how the designer recalls Japanese traditional paper balloons. The concept is quite simple but cute: Write a message on a paper cube while it’s flat, and send it using one of the supplied envelopes. The recipient then blow it up into a cube-shaped balloon to read the message.
I really like the idea of making something flat into something that occupies space, in which way our feelings will change and convey in a more interesting way.
The idea of present something using something similar is quite playful.
I think it is good when applying something people desire to get onto something cheap and common, which also has some kind of irony.

Calendar by Takuma Fukuzawa
I love the idea of letting people create their own calendars. At the end of the month or year, people will realise how time goes and what is left for them when seeing the calendars that made by themselves. I think it would be impressive to create a product that can invite customers to take a part and the message conveying would also be stronger and vivid.

FREE THINGS
The idea of reminding people that there are still something free to do is simple but strong.
Instead of thinking too much about designing a perfect product, I started focusing on the persuade power of my product. Everyone seems too busy to afford things that have price, but I want to remind them that there are lots of things they can do that are totally free.

The way he change the sign of "peace" is effective and leave a deep impression in my mind. The sign of "Peace" is commonly known by people, which is good for delivering idea. And i think in which direction of changing the sign has been considered carefully. We can see it has been changed, but can still tell it is originally the sign of "peace", which i think it' s the most difficult and magic thing in this product.
Also, i like the simplicity of the packaging. With black and white, it also evokes a kind of serious attitude toward the opinion of "Peace". And the name "12 PEACES" is super clever as it is sounds like "12 Pieces".
After deciding my idea of creating a series experiences that free of charge , i am thinking i could give them a receipt that claims everything's free to enhance my concept.
Blue Skies
I think the idea of making a collection of skies from all over the world is quite interesting. My idea has something similar to this work, which is trying to find something simple but happy to let people slow down a bit.
